NetFox gives you the power to monitor, control and limit Internet access for your students. It combines, filtering, reporting and billing to provide a complete Internet management solution.
NetFox has been designed with the school environment in mind. We continue to work with our education customers to build a system that best suits the needs of students, teachers and school management alike. NetFox helps schools uphold a duty of care to their students by monitoring, controlling and managing Internet access. NetFox empowers teachers by giving them the ability to report on student activities on the Internet and even (optionally) the ability to restrict or limit their access..
NetFox doesn't just filter URLs. It filters actual page content as well. This means that filtering is more accurate and can react to the constantly changing web. It's also fast - users do not notice a decrease in access speeds when filtering is enabled. Unlike traditional content filters, NetFox can help stop access to proxy sites as well as video or social networking sites. What's more, you don't have to block entire domains to block a site, NetFox can automatically block pages that are inappropriate while still allowing access to other pages from that domain.
NetFox's browser-based reports provide simple summary views that can quickly drill-down to more detailed information. For example, view the most popular websites for an organisation then, with a single click, view the users that have accessed one of those sites. You can even share reports with management, teaching staff or other users, which allows IT administrators the freedom to focus on other work.
NetFox reporting works in real-time. All traffic is processed as-it-happens and logged to an SQL database. An advanced reporting optimiser means that you get reports that are both accurate to within the last few seconds and quick to generate.
With NetFox it's easy to charge your users for Internet access. Simply assign a quota of a few dollars or so, either by group or user and set a charge rate. You can even allow users to recharge their accounts with one of our coin or note loaders. But it doesn't stop there. You can assign different charge rates for different circumstances. For example, a school might allow free access to all .edu sites. Or, a business might charge higher rates specifically for downloads of MP3 files. And even if you don't want to actually charge your users, it's nice to know how much Internet access is costing you!
